MRA Membership Information

Dear MRA Applicant:

 

Thank you for your interest in the Midwestern Representatives Association.  We are a professional organization of Sales Representatives covering Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky with some of our members also conducting business in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

 

The MRA hosts 4 Markets each year with one being a combined On The Hill Demo/Winter Market.

 

DECEMBER MARKET -  December 6-8, 2010    Lansing Center, Lansing, Michigan

 

This will be our 3rd year for hosting this Early Buy Event.  This year the event will be at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan.  A complete list of attending Reps and Retailers will be available as we approach the event.  What a great way to view product early!  This venue is perfect for Retailers prior to the busy holidays to place their early buys.  Take advantage of this great venue!

 

 

FEBRUARY MARKET / TEST FEST NOW COMBINED!  -  February 7-10, 2011    Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Falls, Michigan

 

Join us at Boyne Mountain Resort for our second year for winter/active/lifestyle apparel, ski/snowboard/nordic equipment, hardgood and softgood accessories, and numerous winter related products which will be highlighted.  This combination event also allows Retailers to Demo all the new 2012 equipment.  What an incredible opportunity to take advantage of all the ammenities at Boyne for you, your staff, and family.  Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tubing, Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park, Solice Spa, Zip Lining, and much more.  Discount lodging/lift ticket packages will be made available to MRA Reps and Retailers.  This is THE show you don't want to miss!

JUNE MARKET - June 20-22, 2011   Lansing Center, Lansing, Michigan

 

Summer/lifestyle apparel and footwear and accessories, various tents and backpacks.  This Premier event was a huge success and will be added once again in 2011.

 

 

OUTDOOR EVENT - Our previous Summer Market is being re-evaluated - details will be forthcoming with a new venue!

 

 

Membership Requirements:

 

Five letters of recommendation from active members.  Please have referring Rep send a letter, fax, or email to the MRA office with a brief explaination stating they recommend you for membership into the organization.

 

One Time Initiation Fee:  $250

Annual Dues:  $275 (October 1 - October 1)  Dues are not pro rated.

 

Booth Fees at our Lansing Show are currently $290 for each 10 x 10 space which include a table, 2 chairs, draping, and carpet.

Test Fest/Winter Market Fees:  $300 Per Indoor Booth, $125 Per each Outdoor Van/Tent Space

 

Upon acceptance of your application, you will have thirty days from notification to pay the Initiation Fee and Dues for that year.  If for any reason your application is denied, you will be notified as to that reason and you will be eligible to reapply the following year.

 

Once your application is completed and your Initiation Fee and Dues are received, you will be sent a Welcome Packet with pertinent information including Corporate By-Laws, Show Rules, Membership Benefits and Seniority Status.
